Al Issa is Concert Technology's Chief Technology Officer and oversees the company's Research and Development efforts. Prior to joining Concert, he spent time leading Flashpoint Technology’s research efforts, where he led a team of engineers developing advanced distributed technology solutions and related IP. Al has spent time in the healthcare industry specializing in security and healthcare management, and managed the development of e-commerce, security and supply-chain management systems. He also spent several years with Cable News Network (CNN) in Atlanta where, as Senior Director of Software Development, he led the development of CNN.com's Content Management System. Al oversaw development for CNN's mobile-based content technology and launched the software systems for 1998 US Midterm National and Local Elections - the first large scale automated web-based elections reporting system. Al has also led a network management software development team and was a software engineer at Bell Laboratories. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida International University (Phi Beta Kappa) and a M.S. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
