Steve Petersen is Concert Technology's Chief Technology Officer and oversees the company's research and development efforts. Prior to joining Concert, he was the Director of Firmware Engineering and later the Director of Software Architecture at PortalPlayer, where he helped develop silicon, firmware and software products that pioneered the portable digital media revolution. A twenty-year veteran of the software industry, he has held various senior engineering roles in companies developing mobile devices, multimedia, Internet and networking solutions. His experience includes starting and running two technology companies, including SSDI, a successful embedded software consulting company, and as a founding member of ECCI, a networking technology start-up. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University.
