An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced candidate to join Concert Technology as a Patent Attorney in Durham, North Carolina. The person filling this position will be responsible for supporting Concert's Intellectual Property Services team, including conducting due diligence on acquisition and licensing initiatives. The salary for this position will be competitive based on experience. The Patent Attorney will report directly to the company's VP of IP Services.

Patent Attorney
- Verifying patent portfolio data (family relationships, fees, chain of title, etc.).
- Reviewing file wrappers.
- Conducting / coordinating prior art searches and evaluating the results.
- Documenting evidence of patent infringement and potential damages (e.g., preparing claims charts, presentations, and the like).
Responsibilities
- Registered Patent Attorney with three (3) or more years of related experience in private practice or as in-house counsel.
- High degree of knowledge of Internet and related media (audio and video) applications and protocols.
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or other engineering field.
- Substantial experience in patent transactional and due diligence work related to the drafting of utility patent applications.
