Patent Prosecution Counsel
- Evaluating invention disclosures
- Reviewing prior art search reports
- Interviewing inventors
- Drafting applications
- Filing IDS's
- Responding to office actions
- Conducting examiner interviews
- Appealing final decisions
- Conducting protests and public use proceedings
- Prosecuting reissue and reexamination applications
Key Tasks Will Include
- J.D. degree, prefferably licensed to practice in NC, a minimum of 3 years of prep and pros work with a law firm.
- Technical degree, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics preferred.
- Registered to practice before the USPTO.
- Ideal candidate will possess an interest in consumer electronic and an interest in staying current with trends and developments within the CE industry.
- Must have a stable work history with few transitions.
- Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where decisions are made and advice given in practical real-time. Ability to work independently, assimilate to an existing team and customers.
- Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, and highly results oriented with an ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- A strong commitment to excellence and high standards of integrity, professionalism, loyalty, honesty, respect, open mindedness, open communication, and business ethics is required.
- Must be able to work independently, and handle both small and large matters with equal effectiveness and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities
- Patent Prosecution Counsel will be responsible for preparation and prosecution tasks associated with a segment of the Concert portfolio. On a daily basis, applicant will review pending actions, caucus with internal team to develop arguments and strategies, and formulate and draft reponses.
- Regarding foreign matters, applicant will monitor portfolio and interact with foreign associate to ensure consistency in approaches across responses.
